Dawood Textile : Herma Classic Lawn 2015 Vol.3 (New Lawn Prints)

Neck is a part of dress that  catches the attention of the beholders quite abruptly, that is precisely why, all the new and experienced dress designers pay exclusive heed upon the designing of neck. Of course, this trend is very old as in  the old Mughal era, all the courtiers, Kaneezs (slave girls), Khawaja Saras (royal slaves with unidentified gender) as well as the members of royal family including king himself, used to wear dresses embellished with beautifully designed necks. People of Lakhnau, Delhi and Hyderabad too, have been wearing outfits with embroidered prominent necks for a long period of  time. Further, beautiful and colorful Sindhi embroidery with magnificent Sheesha (mirror) work is a part of famous Indus  Valley Civilization and women belonging to this region have been wearing outfits  embellished with tiny glimmering Sheeshas (mirrors) on neck long before now.

Well, it is not necessary to make the neck of any dress noticeably prominent and beautiful using embroidery, mirrors, pearls and stones.  Of course, despite being really effective, these means of cloths embellishment are excessively expensive too and only a few people can afford heavily embellished expensive dresses for everyday casual use.  Our designers have discovered various ways and techniques to stylize and beatify dresses through printing only. Though in this volume, designers have totally refrained from the use of any type of embroidery, mirrors, stones and beads etc, but like the other designers,  their goal too was to put forth standard  result, so they have literally done their best to stylize this collection with the help of lovely and eye-catching floral, Ajrak and geometrical  patterns and magnificently printed necks. By beautifying this collection just by printing , they have proved that the art of textile designing can be manipulated  at the same time through unlimited as well as excessively limited means.
